Speed or distance - what do you want?
I found this very interesting quote in someone’s signature whom I met on a business networking website:
"If you want to go fast, travel alone; but if you want to go far, travel together."
- African Proverb
How true - specially for software programming teams, which are so vulnerable due to individualistic goals. As if there is no tomorrow!

Eamon :
I worked for over 4 years in a server environment for a very large company - putting together hardware and software solutions for sales people. It was fairly complicated, to say the least. But I did all my work with another technical guy. We worked all the time in a two-person team. It worked a dream.
Because we were able to work together, working comlicated stuff out together, we were able to get through things much quicker than if we had been working separately. Not only that but we, also, used to compliment each other in work approaches. He was good at the solutions that weren’t that complicatd but needed a quick response time. And I was better at the more long-drawn out stuff.
This proverb is just so true!
