It is extremely satisfying to me, not because it has won us several awards, but because it has evolved me and many more in INT. as serious leaders.
The evolution of looking at people as: resource -> talent -> asset -> partners -> owners (over 40 team members in INT holds ESOPs in the business)
We have emerged as a hotbed of leadership development and continuous learning. People come and join us for a job, but they transform, and never remain the same.
Working at INT is demanding, challenging, but extremely satisfying. I make this statement with a lot of responsibility, not as a Founder and CEO of INT, but as an employee of INT.
We have created an extremely performance-driven culture, which is suitable for select few. But if someone gets used to it, they cannot live without it. The demand placed on each individual, the responsibility bestowed upon them, and the ownership + authority they are given make it an extremely unique experience.
People come here and grow multifold across all dimensions of their career—be it learning, technical abilities, finances, or personal and soft skills.
- We do not do picnics. - We do not do parties. - We do not cut birthday cakes.
Instead:
- We solely focus on giving meaning to the work that each INTians does. - We try to bring fairness, transparency, and ownership for all. - We bring clarity, mentorship, and opportunities that everyone aspires. - We create an environment where people can learn, grow, and do the quality of work they have always wanted to do - one that deeply makes them feel ALIVE.
In our understanding that is real engagement.
In the early days of INT, in the late 1990s, we lost talented people because they said their marriage proposals were getting positive response, as INT was an unrecognized brand. Today, it is so satisfying to see not only people wearing the badge INT with pride and honor, but also growing their careers and retiring in peace.
In my humble opinion, this journey is worth all the sweat and blood that has gone into building INT.
