Usability Tips - Review of a signup form
I recently came across a signup form. It was not bad, but could have been much better. Here is an evaluation of the same so that others can avoid the mistakes that has occured in this signup form.

It was a quick review. If you can find out something notable, feel free to post.
PS: Excuse the poor image quality. My Adobe Photoshop elements got stuck. This was the best I could salvage out
Did not had enough courage to do the entire review again.

Arun Agrawal :
1. Agree with you about avoiding distractions on the sign-up page.
2. There are nice prompts so I know what kind of data to enter in various fields.
3. Disagree with you about color of ‘Available’ - green indicates all Ok and is the right color to use here. The ‘Not available’ message should be shown in red.
4. Agree about the position of the confirmation - should be after the button. however the best way to do this is to use the losefocus event and check availability just after the person leaves the username field.
